Already active in wind orchestras and bands in his early years, he broadened his spectrum by studying at the Hochschule für Musik in Bern (Swiss Jazz School) from 1988 to 1993. For more than 35 years he has played as a drummer in various jazz and crossover formations in Switzerland and abroad. Another passion is playing the piano and composing. In 2012 he was nominated as a film music composer for the Film Music Award, Short Film Sector, at the International Film Music Festival Cologne.
